Aaron Jones Sunglasses
Identifying the Sunglasses Worn by American Running Back Aaron Jones
A rising star in the world of American Football, Aaron Jones is one of the top Running Backs in the NFL today. Praised for his exceptional athleticism and agility he’s also made a notable name for himself off the pitch, not just for his commitment to community and positive change, but also his unique fashion style – most notably his sunglasses. Aaron Jones, what seemingly seemed out of the blue, suddenly started wearing a wide range of quirky sunglasses and has adopted it throughout his style ever since. In this article, I’ll be taking a deep dive looking at his brand(s) of choice and the models of sunglasses he wears.
Aaron Jones Sunglasses: His Brands of Choice
It’s evident through a small amount of research that Aaron Jones loves Oakley Sunglasses. With their bold branding, you can usually see the Oakley Logo adorned with every pair of sunglasses he wears. In an article written by InsideHook regarding this choice of eyewear Jone said “I started putting on the glasses this year (2020). Oakley sent them to me and I was like, ‘Oh, those are it. Those are it,’”. “They just stood out to me. I love all their glasses, but the gold just stood out to me“. With Oakley sending him free pairs of sunglasses I can’t blame him for liking this popular brand. Over his career, I’ve counted at least four different styles of Oakley sunglasses worn by Jones which I’ll be discussing in detail below.
Probably his most iconic look (image above) thanks to their distinctive shaping around the nose, Aaron Jones can be seen here wearing a pair of Oakley Kato Sunglasses. With a wide fit, high bridge and a look most resembling racing glasses, these unique frames are seen in Oakley’s Prizm 24K Lenses in a mirror gold finish (although they are available in 10 different colorways). Oakley sunglasses are relatively affordable and the Kato Sunglasses can be yours for a price of $298.00.
Another bold choice of sunglasses by Jones is the Oakley Sutro Sunglasses (image above). These ski-inspired sunglasses are designed with performance in mind and are often seen adorning the faces of cyclists. With a visor look, a full rims Jone’s opted for a full gold version, again, with Prizm 24K Lenses. These are seen to be custom Sutros made using Oakley’s in-build customization feature. These can be purchased for a price tag starting at $173.00.
Another less flashy pair of sunglasses seen being worn by Jones is the Oakley Gascan Sunglasses (image below). These steel-framed construed glasses offer a more subtle look with a wrap-around style that was popular in the 1990s. With an all-black and grey finish and a choice to customize the lenses if you wish these can be purchased for a price tag starting at $120.00.
Finally, onto the last pair of sunglasses – The Oakley Holbrook Sunglasses (very bottom image). These sunglasses are in the very popular Wayfarer style first produced by Ray-Ban in the 1950s (with Luxottica owning both Ray-Ban & Oakley). With anything Oakley, they’ve been brought into the modern age with colorful accents and Oakley’s premium lens technology. These again, seem to be custom-made with white and yellow accents and can be purchased online starting at $152.00.
