Behind the Shades: Looking Back and Identifying Jack Harlow’s Iconic Sunglasses

Jack Harlow has quickly become one of the most prominent names in the rap industry, and his success is a testament to his undeniable talent and dedication to his craft. Since bursting onto the scene with his hit single “What’s Poppin” in 2020, Harlow has cemented his place in the music industry with his distinct sound and unique fashion style. Not only has he been making waves with his music, but his fashion choices have also caught the attention of fans and fashion enthusiasts alike. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at Jack Harlow’s career and explore the influence of his fashion style on his rise to stardom.

One of Jack Harow’s most distinctive features is a unique choice in eyewear – specifically sunglasses. From bold colors to unusually shaped frames, it’s these frames which has his fans wondering what brands of choice he favors and the exact models he wears in interviews, music videos, and during his concerts. In this article, we’re going to attempt to identify these sunglasses and give you up-to-date information on where you can get your hands on Jack Harlow Sunglasses.

Jack Harlow Sunglasses: Identifying his shades brand of choice

Jack Harlow wears a versatile array of different brands of sunglasses and doesn’t seem to favor any one particular brand. Another thing of note, which is very different from most celebrities, is that Jack Harlow doesn’t just stick to designer brands. One of the most requested sunglasses that Harlow wears is an incredibly cheap pair of sunglasses from Walmart as seen in the image above. These are probably his most famous sunglasses as they were seen in his music video for ‘Tyler Herro’ (2020) and again in his 2021 tour. I thought at first it was stupid to think a celebrity such as Harlow would wear anything but designer eyewear but this has quickly been confirmed by his community to be these Small Rimless Rectangle Sunglasses from Walmart (unbranded) at a tiny cost of just $13.99.

Another popular sunglasses brand that Harlow has been seen wearing was featured during an interview with GQ Magazine back in 2021. This interview talks about the then 22-year-old life in a primarily dominated black rapping scene but also provides a glimpse into the rapper’s fashion choices including his glasses. In one of the many promotional shots taken (image below courtesy of GQ), Harlow is wearing what I’d commonly describe as a similar style to Cartier sunglasses also known as Buffs. These are popular among the rappers of the world and usually feature, as seen in Harlow’s pair of rimless frames and tinted lenses usually in a bold color like pink or red. At first, I thought these might simply be Cartier glasses but thanks to QG these have been identified to be Vintage Wood Collection (VWC) Sunglasses specifically their Black Wood Frame Model coming in at a price tag of $625.00

Another style of sunglasses completely opposite to the above has been worn by Harlow on a variety of different occasions most commonly in a variety of promotional shots of Harlow. These thick-rimmed acetate frames are a throwback to the 90s style most commonly worn by famed rappers of that period. The image below showcases these glasses that have been identified to be a pair of Prada Symbole Sunglasses. The most distinctive feature of these glasses is the sides or arms of the glasses which feature an oversized thick shape in a jagged geometric style. These glasses are still sold by Prada and can be found on their official website for a price tag of around $450.00

Finally, onto the last pair of sunglasses, we’ve been able to identify. Again, these glasses (as pictured below) were quite easy to identify, due to the unique arms of the glasses featuring an ornate gold medallion on each side of the sunglasses arms (with detailing of Medusa). Made in Italy from premium acetate these have been identified as the Versace Medusa Biggie Sunglasses. These Versace sunglasses are still available to purchase and are available from the Versace website for a price tag of around $300.00
